I'm a poet with a purpose 

Mailed with nothing but my voice 

And my master's worn out lute 

Is the weapon of my choice 

This is the rise of the poet 

This is the rise of the bard 

Voice of an angel 

With a burning heart 

I'm not exactly what you call a minstrel 

And before you ask, yes I'm a bard 

It's not just wine, women and song 

You should know it teared my life apart 

Singing of honor 

To provoke their shame 

And if I should perish 

Remember my name

Into The Lion's Den 

At the edge of the grave 

But still no end in sight 

Armed with passion and song 

I shall face the king tonight 

I shall sing of the blood 

Covering his hands 

I raise my voice and sing 

Of an era that ends 

Songs of truth 

Echo from the walls 

Songs of justice 

Shattering the halls 

Songs of hope 

With bleeding heart I sing 

In the den of the lion 

In the hall of the king 

At the edge of the grave 

And still no fear inside 

The high lords in anger 

The king yet blinded by pride 

I accomplished the deed 

That was destined to fail 

I faced the dragon in his cave 

And still live to tell the tale

Last Curtain Call 

After all I came across 

One unforgiving 

For taunting a noble 

I'm condemned to die 

A bard fulfills his duty 

Even when he falls 

I still remember what 

My master told me 

Give your last coin to the hangman 
And your love one last embrace 
Tell the crowd your best joke and then 
Die with a smile upon your face 

My last curtain call 
With a smile I’m gonna fall 
Don’t cry for me 
A bard is what I chose to be 
I win the day 
So wipe your tears away 
The curtain falls 
I'll see you in the golden halls 
 

Now the time has come 

When I join the fallen 

My story ends 

Before the day is done 

I will show my worth to you 

I won't die crying 

My death shall be one last 

Slap in your face 

Give your last coin to the hangman 
And your love one last embrace 
Tell the crowd your best joke and then
